A congress is always as good as its presentations are. In this regard the EFORT congress can ever rely on the experts all over Europe.

Among the many high quality papers and posters of the EFORT congresses the following papers and e-posters receive awards.

Free Paper Awards
The best-rated free papers will have the option of competing for the “EFORT Free Paper Award”. From the presentations received, the EFORT Award Committee selects the three best presentations to receive the “EFORT Free Paper Award”. The winners will also receive a financial reward (gold: EUR 3.000, silver: EUR 2.000, bronze: EUR 1.000).
The authors of the selected papers will be informed prior to the Congress and the certificates will be handed over during the opening ceremony of the Congress.

Jacques Duparc Awards
From the best-rated e-poster abstracts submitted for the Congress, the ten best will be honoured and will receive the “Jacques Duparc Award”. The winners will be awarded a lump sum of EUR 1.000 each; they will be informed prior to the Congress and the certificates will be handed over during the official opening ceremony of the Congress.

Allied Professions Award
The best-rated allied profession papers will have the option of competing for the “EFORT Allied Professions Award”. From the presentations received, the EFORT Allied Professions Award committee selects the best presentation to receive the “EFORT Allied Professions Award”. The winner will be awarded a lump sum of EUR 500. The authors of the selected papers will be informed prior to the Congress and the certificate will be handed over during the official opening ceremony of the Congress.

EFORT Tribology Award
Supported by CeramTec
The Tribology committee selects the best free paper submitted for the Tribology Day to receive the “EFORT Tribology Award”. The authors of the selected free papers for the Tribology Day will be informed prior to the Congress, and the winner's trophy will be handed over on the day. The winner will also receive EUR 2.000.

The Bone & Joint/EFORT Travelling Fellowship (BJJ-EFORT TF) is a new venture, initiated and funded by the British Editorial Society of Bone and Joint Surgery (BESBJS) and supported by the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT) and the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA).
