EFORT: Excellence For ORthopaedic Training.
As the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology,
EFORT has established as one of its goals the development of orthopaedic
care by improving the level of education and making it more uniform around
Europe.
The Advanced Training Programme is in joint
combination with the National Societies and members of the
Specialty Societies. In this sense EFORT is providing a European
platform to the National Associations and the Specialty Societies
to establish a solid orthopaedic education programme for the
future.
At the top of the Educational Pyramid Programme and devoted to the very specialised
surgeons (Specialists and Senior Consultants) are the ExMEx

Instructional courses (ICs)
are dedicated either to a specific topic or have a more generalist
approach and aim to attract chief residents and young specialists
who want to improve their skills in a special field.
