About Events approved by EFORT

EFORT offers various training courses a European platform on which to present themselves and thereby reach a larger, multicultural target group.

An "EFORT approved event" is a training programme that is structured according to special guidelines.

Submission form

EFORT approved Events must comply with certain training priciples:
  • High-quality training in specialist orthopaedic areas or in general orthopaedics, in accordance with the principles of the EFORT Advanced Training Programme.
  • Course syllabuses must be composed of a number of different modules and must encourage the active participation of attendees (interactive workshops, discussion platforms, hands-on sessions, etc.)
  • The course faculty must be drawn from several different European countries, and from respected clinics or university hospitals.
  • Course fees must represent an appropriate balance between the benefits of training and the cost structure.

Procedure

The following procedure must be followed for a course to be declared an "EFORT approved event":

  • The course syllabus should be submitted via the following submission form.
  • Submissions must be received at least seven months before the course begins.
  • EFORT will then review the submission.
  • The applicant will receive a reply no later than one month after submitting the syllabus.

EFORT approved Events

If the training course is approved, EFORT will send the applicant the logo that may be printed on the course documentation, and will also list the course, giving its EFORT approved status and syllabus, on the EFORT website at: "Events approved by EFORT". The applicant must submit a separate request to EFORT to sign off the logo as good to print. Please use the event@efort.org e-mail address.

EFORT expects the course organisers to support EFORT's own events at the same time, e.g. with inserts in course folders, electronic bulletins during the course, an advert in the course documentation, etc.
