23rd EFORT annual Congress

Digital Transformation, Big Data And Artificial Intelligence

Shaping The Future Of O&T

Each edition of our annual congress features a Main Theme always aligned with the EFORT mission of improving patient care. For the 23rd EFORT annual Congress the chosen motto is Modern Patients Needs – Challenges And Solutions in O&T.

To further promote exchanges around this guiding formula, the EFORT Science Committee has planned the symposium entitled Digital Transformation, Big Data And Artificial Intelligence - Shaping The Future Of O&T scheduled on Thursday 23 June 2022 from 16:15 to 17:15.

With this collaborative focused programme involving the Dutch Orthopaedic Association as well as the Hungarian and Swedish National Member Societies, EFORT is convinced to bring to stage important components around the use of new technologies to improve diagnostics and secure the achievements of breakthrough treatments, recovery and rehabilitation.

Indeed, the first and major aim of new technologies is to actively influence the decision-making of physicians by giving more possibilities to overcome any limitation of the current practice. The emergence of digital analysis and multiple computer-assisted techniques, both for diagnostic and treatment, should guarantee the best outcome for patients.

This specific Main Theme session moderated by the EFORT President 2021-2022 Professor Li Felländer-Tsai from Sweden, and member of the EFORT Board & the EFORT Science Committee Doctor Katre Maasalu from Estonia, aims at guiding the O&T community towards how to adapt and use new analytical methods and technological developments becoming more and more popular due to their superiority and accuracy for creation of registries, prediction of surgery outcomes or even for setting up better research trials.

All details of this session are available within the scientific programme
