EFORT CONGRESS AWARDS

A congress is always as good as its presentations are. In this regard the EFORT congress can ever rely on the experts all over Europe and even worldwide.

The EFORT congress awards are selected among the many high quality papers and posters presented at the congress.

EFORT Free Paper Awards – Orthopaedics & Trauma

The best-rated free papers will have the option of competing for the “EFORT Free Paper Award”. From the presentations given in both “orthopaedics” and “trauma”, delegates attending the two “award” sessions during the congress will vote for the three best presentations in each category to receive the “EFORT Free Paper Award in orthopaedics and trauma respectively”. The winners in each of the two categories will also receive a financial reward (gold: EUR 1.500; silver: EUR 1.000; bronze: EUR 500).

Competing authors will be informed accordingly by the EFORT Head Office.

Jacques Duparc Awards

From the best-rated poster abstracts submitted for the Congress, the ten best will be honoured and will receive the “Jacques Duparc Award”. The winners will be awarded with a grant of EUR 500 each; they will be informed prior to the Congress and the certificates will be handed over during the Congress.

Competing authors will be informed accordingly by the EFORT Head Office.

Michael Freeman Award

With the Michael Freeman Award, EFORT recognizes an outstanding scientific contribution made to the EFORT Congress. It is currently supported by Medacta International SA and comes with a financial reward of EUR 3,000.

EFORT/Medtronic Award

From the best-rated poster abstracts submitted  in the area of “Bone research”, EFORT will identify one winner of the joint  “EFORT/Medtronic Award ”. The winner will be awarded with a grant of EUR  5.000.
