CME ACCREDITATION FOR EFORT EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS

The EFORT Education Committee and its subgroups who develop our webinar programmes are proud to be able to provide CME credits by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) for a number of EFORT Educational webinars.

Accreditation by the EACCME means that the educational activity provided is of high scientific value, free of commercial bias and promotes active adult learning. By attending an EACCME accredited event, participants will be able to obtain European CME credits (ECMEC) which are recognised not only in a majority of European countries (with which the EACCME has signed agreements), but also in the USA and Canada.

Each medical specialist can only claim those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the basis of 1 ECMEC for one hour of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per day. Cf. Chapter X of UEMS 2016.20. Regulations stipulates that in order for medical specialists to collect CME credits, a system need to be in place and enabled for automatic time tracking so that the time spent in watching scientific sessions as part of the educational activity.
