Thank you for sharing your work with us and contributing in the scientific and clinical value of the orthopedic community. We are pleased by the high number of submissions as by the closing date of 15 November, we had reached 3912 abstracts received.

The submitted abstracts are currently being evaluated by an expert group of Scientific Advisors. You will be notified by 16 January 2015 about the acceptance/rejection of your abstract.
Please remember to register online as submitting an abstract does not automatically register you for the 16th EFORT Congress.

Submision of abstracts for the 15th EFORT Annual Congress London 2014 is closed!

EFORT does not accept resubmissions. Only abstracts submitted electronically can be accepted.

Abstracts must correspond to original, previously unpublished work.

ONLINE SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

After logging on to the EFORT portal, be sure to follow the onscreen instructions precisely as they lead you through the submission process. There is no restriction on the number of abstracts you may submit, although a total of three oral presentations and five posters only will be accepted per registered presenting author.

Please be aware that some information is mandatory and you will not be able to proceed further if you do not complete the requested fields. Please also note that you may modify the author and affiliation information of your abstract(s) directly on the submission system until the deadline given, Saturday 15 November 2013, 23:59 CET. After this date, all changes should be made through direct enquiry to scicom@efort.org. Consider your submission category carefully. If there is a discrepancy between your topic and its category, EFORT reserves the right to change the category or reject your abstract.

INFORMATION ON ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE

You will be notified by e-mail about the acceptance of your abstract(s) on Friday 16 January 2015.

The presenting author of a selected abstract must undertake to attend the Congress and present the abstract in the session and at the time designated by the Scientific Committee.

EFORT therefore requires all presenting authors to register by 16 February 2015 at the latest. Only registrations for the full Congress are accepted.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS (Free Paper Sessions)

Abstracts submitted for oral presentation as Free Papers are expected to have very high scientific quality and should correspond to complete studies with outstanding results and innovative conclusions.

Please refer to the “Free Papers” section under the Presentation Guidelines page for details.

The best-rated Free Papers may be put forward for the EFORT Free Paper Award. From the presentations that are received, the three best will be selected for the award. The authors of the selected papers will be informed prior to the Congress, and certificates will be presented during the official opening ceremony.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Abstracts submitted as Posters can be based on preliminary results and correspond to short studies or trials. High scientific level is expected in any case.

Out of the best-rated poster abstracts submitted for the Congress, the ten best will be awarded the Jacques Duparc Award. Authors will be informed prior to the Congress, and certificates will be presented during the official opening ceremony.

CLINICAL CASES PRESENTATIONS

Abstracts submitted as Clinical Cases should refer to a single case report presenting scientific value for the use of a specific treatment or technique.

NURSES PRESENTATIONS

For Nurses only! Abstracts from this category will be accepted either as Free Papers to be allocated in the Nurse Session or as Posters to be presented in the common Poster sessions.

The best-rated abstract may be put forward for the EFORT Allied Profession Award. The authors of the selected abstract will be informed prior to the Congress, and a certificate will be presented during the official opening ceremony.
