  • A total of 1967 abstracts have been accepted: 680 free papers, 1176 posters and 111 clinical cases are now part of the scientific programme of our Vienna Congress.
  • All the acceptance & rejection email notifications have been sent to authors and co-authors on Friday 27 January 2017.
  • All abstracts accepted and validated by the full registration of their presenting author, have now been included in the scientific programme of Vienna.
  • The presenting author of a validated abstract must present his/her abstract in the session and schedule designated by the Scientific Committee. Please refer to the communication sent on 15 March 2017.

TYPES OF ABSTRACTS

Oral Presentation as Free Paper

Abstracts accepted as Free Papers will be presented orally during the Congress. Very high scientific quality is expected from these presentations which should correspond to complete studies with outstanding results and innovative conclusions.

Only computer projection will be available for presentations in the meeting rooms. To ensure that sessions run smoothly, please refer to the Free Paper Presentation Guidelines available online.

The three best-rated Free Papers will be selected for the EFORT Free Paper Award. Authors of these selected papers will receive a special certificate during the official opening ceremony.

Oral Presentation as Clinical Case

Abstracts accepted as Clinical Cases will be presented orally during the Congress, in dedicated clinical sessions. Clinical Cases should refer to a single case report presenting scientific value for the use of a specific treatment or technique. Only computer projection will be available for presentations in the meeting rooms. To ensure that sessions run smoothly, please refer to the Clinical Cases Presentation Guidelines available online.

Poster Presentation

All abstracts accepted as Posters will be presented at the Congress as wall paper posters. Authors are welcome to add images, tables and detailed data to better document their work. A large display area will be dedicated to poster presentations and Poster Walks will be organised during the Congress to have the best rated posters evaluated by experts in the corresponding fields.

Only A0 paper posters in vertical display will be accepted. To ensure that the material is prepared correctly, please refer to the Poster Presentation Guidelines available online.
